GREENFIELD — A Seed/Seedling Swap and Blessing of Seeds is set for Sunday, May 16, at 2 p.m. on the lawn of the Episcopal Church of Saints James and Andrew, at 8 Church St. Every grower has extra seeds/seedlings that might not ever get used. Bring them to the seedling/seed swap and blessing and take home some new ones. If you are a beginner or don’t have any to share, you are invited, too. Entrance is free. Organize and label your extra seeds/seedlings and bring them along. Browse and take what you need. COVID-19 protocols will be in place. This event is sponsored by Good News Gardens Massachusetts, and supported by Saints James and Andrew’s Good News Garden Team. For more information: firstname.lastname@example.org.
This Sunday, May 2, the Franklin County Collaborative of Unitarian Universalist congregations will gather online for a service led by Dan Tinen, who will speak about “Systemic Prosperity.”
Tinen asks, “Is it possible to build a society that eliminates poverty? Several economists and the experience of different nations suggest that it is possible if we are willing to let go of outdated ideological concepts on both the left and the right and see the world, and our fellow human beings, in a whole new way.”
The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. via Zoom for members and friends, and simulcast on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/user/FranklinCountyUUs .
