To get your hands on one of Aldi’s limited Advent calendars, make sure you get to stores early Wednesday.

The discount grocer’s first-ever U.S. beer calendar goes on sale when stores open Wednesday along with the returning wine Advent calendar, which last year sold out within minutes across the nation.

The two boozy calendars will be joined by the cheese Advent calendar, an assortment of chocolate ones, various fun-filled toy ones for kids and a new one for man’s best friend – the OmegaSnax Dog Advent Calendar.

“Whether you’re shopping for the wine lover, the cheese enthusiast, or the chocolate connoisseur, we’ve got unique advent calendars that’ll get anyone in the holiday spirit,” Aldi said on its website. “So, however you count down, come in quick ‘cause they sell out fast.”

The calendars are used to count down the days of Advent, the religious days leading up to Christmas Eve.

Traditionally, the calendars have been simple with fold-back flaps revealing treats like chocolates but in recent years have evolved to include more options ranging from spirits to beauty items. Tiffany’s has a jewelry-filled Advent calendar with a price tag of $112,000.

Aldi’s $49.99 beer calendar has 24 11.2-ounce bottles of beer in varieties including O’Shea’s Irish Stout, Wernesgruner German Pilsner and Boot Tread Amber Ale.

The Festive Collection Wine Advent Calendar, which costs $69.99, features 24 mini bottles of 12 different varieties and will cost $69.99 or $2.92 for each 6.37-ounce bottle.

Not all Aldi stores sell beer and wine as some cities and states do not allow grocery stores to sell alcohol. Find locations that sell beer and wine at www.aldi.us/stores.

Quantities are limited and are not expected to be restocked. Items may not be available in all stores and prices may also vary by location. There’s a limit of two wine and beer calendars per person.
